After the elections, the LVIIHRA Comelec shall continue to act as a recommendatory body to the elected Board of Directors.
As President-elect, Ms. Lorenzo has the prerogative of appointing the members of her Executive Board. According to the existing LVIIHRA By-laws, she may appoint officers from within or outside the Board of Directors.
Upon knowing the other candidates who declined to run as Board member but still willing to serve and other candidates who did not make it to the Board, the LVIIHRA Comelec recommends the following:
For Secretary: Mr. Lucas Cortez
He has served the association as Secretary during the past administration. We think that his experience will be a great help in performing the task.
For Treasurer: Ms. Mina Dieta
She is the only banker from among the candidates. She is currently holding a high position with BDO. Her expertise will be very helpful for the association.
For Auditor: Ms. Menchie Matienzo
She is a CPA and has expressed her willingness in holding the said position. It is better to appoint somebody who is capable and very willing to do the task than otherwise.
The LV II Comelec has forwarded these recommendations to Ms. Lorenzo. We hope that they would be considered. Let us work for a better Landcom Village II community.
